Sandals all year, hot pavements, sand, salt water. Heels go hard and crack, and that is not a cosmetic problem once it splits. A pedicure here starts with a long soak and real work on the heels, not a quick file and a coat of colour.
Gel on toes lasts longer than you think
Toenails grow more slowly than fingernails, so a gel pedicure often looks good for four to six weeks — twice as long as a gel manicure. If you are here on holiday, it will outlast the trip.
If something does not look right
Discoloured, thickened or lifting nails are common in a hot climate and we see them often. We are not doctors and we will not pretend to be, but we will tell you what we are seeing and suggest you get it looked at rather than painting over it.
